Starting in 1983 the United States Mint produced a 90% Silver commemorative dollar that has the same size and silver content of the much earlier Morgan and Peace Dollars.  These dollars can be purchased largely based on their silver value.  The dollar will come in either a PCGS or an NGC holder, and in a variety of grades.
