Every year, the U.S. Mint issues Uncirculated Mint sets, Proof sets, and Silver Proof sets of that year's coins.  Currently, Proof sets are produced by San Francisco Mint and Uncirculated sets are collections of both the Philadelphia and Denver coins produced by the U.S. Mint for that year.

Many collectors collect mint sets of the year of an anniversary or birth year.  The mint sets have also been known to be used to fill in holes of an existing collection.

Commemorative Coins are approved by Congress and celebrate either American people, places, events, and institutions. Currently these can be minted by any of the four existing U.S Mint locations and make great gifts!
